Operating shelters and a service center
After opening a shelter for families of the children with cancer in 1996 for the first time in Korea, 5 shelters and 2 service center are being operated in the country. The shelters are constructed to efficiently help children with cancer and their families who receive treatment from hospitals far from their homes. The shelters and service center provide the children with cancer and their families with temporary accommodation, various activities to foster emotional development and relieve stress of children, counseling, art therapy & play therapy, etc.

Financial support

to help children with cancer and their families not to give up on treatment
due to financial difficulties, but to keep on receiving adequate treatment.

Direct treatment cost : hematopoietic stem cell transplantation, hospitalization and outpatient treatment.

Indirect treatment cost : purchasing cost of special nutritious food & hospital supplies and other additional expense.

Rehabilitation treatment cost for reducing physical, psychosocial aftereffects after receiving cancer treatment.

Provision of certificate of blood donation to reduce blood transfusion cost.

Emotional support

By improving coping capabilities of patients and their families as well as reducing stress,
we are progressing emotional support to enhance the hope for cure. It is composed of
consultation for patients and their families, art therapy and various activities including family camp,
camp for siblings of the children with cancer, providing wigs and planting trees of hope, etc.

Information support

to promote understanding and coping ability of children
with cancer and their families.

Educational resource publication and distribution(publishing 26 booklets).

Operation of mini-library where books and videos related to childhood cancer are placed.

Distribution video for education to promote children’s understanding of childhood cancer.

Website for children and teenagers, mobile application for providing information.

Supporting research

To improve treatment technology by activating research on childhood cancer,
we are supporting research funds through the Korean Society of Pediatric Hematology- Oncology.

Public relations

The foundation is carrying on photo exhibition, art therapy exhibition, Yellow Reborn campaign to raise social concerns
about children with cancer, and to have a correct perception of childhood cancer.
